✈️ 🤘 ❤️ How To Take More Vacations, 3 Amazing Resources For Booking Cheap Flights, 5 Things I'm Loving Right Now

Hi Reader,

It's been raining for days on end but just as I started typing this the sun popped out!

I consider it a good omen for this week's newsletter.

Today you'll discover:

  • How to take more vacations
  • My 3 favorite resources for booking cheap flights
  • 5 things I'm loving right now (including a great song and a helluva pair of pants)

Let's dive in!

🏖 How To Take More Vacations

I’m pulling one of my favorites from the archive for this week’s episode!

If you want to learn the secret to finding cheap flights, listen to Scott Keyes.

Scott took his passion for finding cheap flights and sharing deals with friends and turned it into the uber-successful Going (formerly Scott’s Cheap Flights), a service that tracks airfare prices and alerts its 2+ million members to exceptional airfare deals.

He is also the author of Take More Vacations: How to Search Better, Book Cheaper, and Travel the World (highly recommended resource!), a guide for anyone hoping to turn vacations from once a year into many more.

If you’re curious about what it takes to find the best deals on flights, his methodology, best practices when booking, the mindset you need to have when booking flights, and much more, then you will not want to miss this one!

My 3 Favorite Cheap Flight Resources

Google Flights Explore

Instead of deciding on the destination first, check out flight prices everywhere then pick a place to go, or just use it for inspiration.

Scott's Book

If you need to pay for flights, knowledge is power. I know I already mentioned it, but this book really does cover it all.

Wikipedia's List Of Low Cost Airlines

Budget airlines aren't always easy to find, and don't necessarily show up on google flights and in other aggregators. Use this list to identify budget airlines and check their website directly for cheap flight prices.

Before booking anything, it's worth considering other transport options if possible. Cut down on impact by taking the train, a car, your bike, skateboard, whatever.
